President Don Corsette called for a special meeting of our property owners to discuss the sewer situation. The meeting was held at the Berry's home, on Sunday, April 16, 2000 at 4:30 p.m.
Those present were:
Don and Mildred Corsette
Bob and Donna Berry
LoRee Parker
Bob Uvegas
Betty Martin
President Don Corsette opened the meeting by reporting that Loma Topkie may be on sewer by fall - the matter is pending. He said the city will be putting in lateral lines after which we can go ahead with connection. He suggested we hire one contractor to dispose of our septic tanks, and connect the seven homes to the sewer.
A motion was made by Betty Martin, seconded by Donna Berry, that we contact several contractors for bids to accomplish this job. Passed.
Bob Uvegas is to contact several contractors (city has a list) and explain our situation.
Bob Berry suggested we contact Mr. Logan, city engineer, re: saving as many trees as possible. Bob U. volunteered to contact Mr. Logan.
May 8th is the deadline for paying pre-sewer charges of $2,000 each property owner to the city. Donna Berry asked if we could use some of the money in our bank account toward this expense. This matter was delayed.
Our meeting was closed and guests enjoyed a delicious variety of goodies.
